Hi guys asking for a loved one
the daughters at college (hair dressing) with 3 kids the father no longer living there is responsible for the older two 8 & 9 yrs old
he has the children at most 2x a month sleeping over & see's them regular on a set day at the weekend
he has a managers job at a car wash and is therefore registered as self employed running the car wash which does get rather busy
he was paying a poor 32 pound a week to support both children (16 each)
he has now sent a message yesterday suggesting he'll only be paying £6.87 jointly for the girls a mere £3.43 each
Q1 how can the mam of the children check this is correct it seems extremely low
Q2 if he's the manager of the car wash is he able to just fiddle the figures as he needs to, therefore keeping his payments low
Q3 how can the mam get any money from the father such extras like uniforms foot ware .... the oldest recently went to thurston an educational trip for children but a large sum of 250 pound the father paid zero on this
agreeably the current covid situation will create complications but find the maintenance situation a little one sided any help would be greatly appreciated i do try to help but our money can only go so far

Nominally let's say it's £9 an hour x 40 hours in a week - 16% /7 * 6. £49 a week.
The new amount i presume is because he's not working? £7 a week is broadly the correct figure for an unemployed person.
There's no extras. That's all you can force someone to pay.0 -
one would assume he's suggested that but if he's put in for 80% is he not still classed as working the lady suggests he's still going into work and the wash is still open

If he's self employed he cant put in a claim yet.
That aside, i cant comment on the realities. I imagine most car washes are closed, but obviously i dont know if this one is.
Ultimately CMS check if it's correct or not, that's their job. I would say that it should be a last resort - but there are useless parents out there hence why CMS exist.0
