Changed jobs in middle of this virus

Okay so I am a full time student and work as a Support Worker part time. I changed to another company in middle of this virus, however this new company is agency work and I am on a zero hour contract, which I wasn't aware of as I stated the hours I wanted and was lead to believe it was those hours I was contracted. I was due to start this week but they have told me places aren't keen on new staff, which I understand. But what do I do for money I am extremely worried as I have Bill's to pay. I am looking for alternative work in the mean time but there is very little where I live. Can anyone offer some advice please or suggestions cause I am very worried about what will happen with my Bill's. Thank you.

Would your old employer take you back on and furlough you, wouldn't do any harm to ask at least.1
