Thought it would be best to set up a chat thread for the Voice of Rock competition on Planet Rock, https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6125901/e-24-04-your-chance-to-win-thousands-of-pounds-6-entries-daily/p12

I am just curious to know whether people who ring and therefore pay for the call are more likely to be called than the people who do the free online entries.0

Legally whatever the entry method the chances of winning must be the same and this also goes for all the other major ones (ITV, C5 etc) that offer a free entry method as well as a paid one - Apart from anything else it makes no difference to the promoter if it is a paid or free entry that is chosen as the winner all that concerns them is making a good return on the competition.
(There have been many winners from the free entry routes on here)1 -
Not Kirk Hammet.1

The chances are equally the same. I've always used the free entry route (never paid) and have been lucky enough to win the following over the last 3 years:
Magic FM £2,500
Rock FM £1,000
Radio City £2,000

I won £10000 from ITV via the online entry years ago, although they don't offer that now, but I won £9000 from Greatest Hits Radio a few weeks ago via the online method1
