Nameless Fortnite account

My son seems to have created a nameless account, somehow linked to his Nintendo Switch. He wants to change to an Xbox but not lose his account as his spent hours and a fair bit of cash creating it. Does anyone know how to make this an account that we can transfer to another platform please??

You don't need to transfer to it. Just fire up Fortnite and you can link accounts, even if you're using entirely different email addresses for say XBox Live and Playstation Network. The only issue is that V bucks aren't shared between the two but once the accounts are linked everything you buy on say the Switch will also be available on the Xbox and vice versa. If he has a lot of Vbucks on the Switch account but intends playing it most on the Xbox he's best getting stuff he wants on the Switch, as well as buying the new battlepass with any saved Vbucks and then earning the free Vbucks as he plays on the Xbox.
