Toyota - no payment holiday!
I am a self-emplyed plumber and currently only attending emergencies, needless to say business is slow. I've just logged in to my Toyota Finance to try and organise a payment holiday, their website states that it is not company policy to offer this. When I search for their general Covid-19 information, Toyota request that you contact them via email since they have had unprecedented calls (I can imagine!).
Will Toyota be bound by the FCA if they bring in the 3-month payment holiday rule and should I wait until the outcome on 24th April before I contact Toyota again?
Many thanks

It was in the news this morning that the FCA are to ask car companies like Toyota to implement the three month payment holiday. Up until now, there has been no such policy, so you're a bit quick off the mark.I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.1

"People struggling with payday loans, car finance and pawn shop borrowing will be granted a payment holiday under plans by the City watchdog. The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) said the measures would help borrowers who are experiencing money problems amid the Covid-19 outbreak. The FCA wants motor finance firms to grant a three-month freeze. It is also asking firms specialising in rent-to-own, buy-now-pay-later and pawnbroking loans to delay repayments."I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.2
