Should I be worried ?

my mortgage application has gone in. I’m trying to purchase my dads share of the property so I have a 50% deposit technically. The broker has emailed me to say he wants to talk me through how the potential lender has responded. Is this routine or should I be worried?
i have a low income, mostly benefits but I am self employed

Thank you. I’m just worried it’s bad news!0

Talk you through how the lender has responded - that sounds a bit dramatic.
I normally just call people and say wooo! or "they have come back and asked for some extra documents, if you can get them together we should be good"...
I cant remember the last time we had an application declined so I do not really have a "line" for that.
It does not sound great in your case, but it could be that the broker is just being a bit OTT.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. He’s emailed me to say that, as I missed his call. I’ve tried calling today but it’s been engaged0
