Hi guys I bought a faulty tv from tesco end Feb - it is outside their 30 day money back guarantee. I spoke to their representative ( working from home obvs ) who took all details and said they would contact Toshiba to contact me to arrange return for repair. A week later no call and no tv. Lots of people have reported on line “ black screening “ with Toshiba tvs. I have my receipt I don’t want this tv can anyone advise ?

You may have noticed that a lot of companies are in lockdown or working with a bare skeleton staff .Your choice to dispose of the TVOr go down the warranty route with Toshiba .Or Consumer Regulations route via Tesco .But again nothing is going to happen quickly at present .4

Hmmm I get back to my clients within a day and expect the same from a big company like Toshiba. Fact is I spent 500 on a tv in which case they should offer a refund if they can’t accommodate0

During the current National Crisis your expectation is clearly unreasonable...Hawkster1975 said:I get back to my clients within a day5 -

As TVs are not an essential item then the Toshiba workforce should be at home and all the workshops, offices etc closed.5

That's not the law; you're making things up.sheramber said:As TVs are not an essential item then the Toshiba workforce should be at home and all the workshops, offices etc closed.1 -
Contact Toshiba direct under their warranty. You are not entitled to a replacement: they can replace, refund or repair at their discretion.
But, seriously £500 on a Toshiba TV?!No free lunch, and no free laptop
