    My developer has previously advised the wrong house number and post code (or this has been updated), so no idea where this has put me for completion next Friday...!

    Barclays have also requested copies of my building warranty which I thought was strange...

    So exchange and completion done this afternoon. That was a pleasant surprise.
    It was incompetence after all and not a tightening of lending criteria.

    I am in the same issue. We exchanged the contracts before lockdown and the seller didnt complete as they are self isolating. No one in the chain agree to the variation contract and so my solicitor issued notice and after 10 days, they couldn't complete as well. We received the funds twice adn returned back to bank. Now, the completion date is agreed but while requesting funds back from bank, they say it needs to be rekeyed. That means i can't complete on the completion day. Will i be in breach of contract? Anybody help please !!!
