Mortgage after bankruptcy

Hi all, hope you are safe and well.

It’s been 3.5 years since I was made bankrupt (2.5 discharged) and want to see when I could potentially get a mortgage now, even at these uncertain times.

I earn 40k and my husband starts a new permanent role in June at 24k. There is a property on the market for 250k and we have a 15% deposit. Is there anything we could possibly do now? If so what rates would we be looking at and if not, when do you think and what rates?

2 months ago, this would have been possible, but rates may have been around 6.5% and you would likely have needed a 20% deposit. At the minute you wont have any options until you have been discharged for 3 years. 

I would probably still try to get to the 20% deposit mark though if you can as it will give you more options, better rates and more likely to be accepted.
