There's no MIDI port on that model.
Please pardon my ignorance - why is that important?
It means that you can't connect the keyboard to a computer and use it as a MIDI controller.  Which you might want to do for recording or editing purposes at some point.

Hmmm, I see. I hadn’t really thought about that. This is so confusing. I hope this doesn’t end up like my bike shed with a grave yard of components that weren’t quite right.

Though it does have USB TO HOST.

It would be cheaper to rent a piano for a few month and see how it goes.
Most places do a six month minimum at around £30 a month. I bought my second hand  yamaha p-35 for £160 and could probably sell it on for that or close to it tomorrow.
  • I second a Yamaha - I learnt to play keyboard/piano on one and then progressed to a real piano pretty easily. Sadly I haven't had room for one in any of my rental houses and haven't practiced in years! You can learn online or from books, but nothing will really replace a proper teacher in the long term. I do remember using a lot of the 'What Else Can I Play' books but I'm not sure if these might be a little childish (I was 9 or 10 when I started!)
    Make £2025 in 2025 total £241.75/£2025
  • We have a Yamaha Arius YDP-141, quite expensive when we bought it new in 2013 (around £700) but it sounds good and feels like a proper piano,
I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world
  • Work and Christmas parties (I'm very fortunate to be living somewhere without any real lockdown restrictions) was pretty hectic right up until Christmas Eve so I stopped thinking about pianos for a bit.  I received a modest bonus this year so now the Boxing Day sales have started again I'm back on the case.  Plus someone in my building has just started advertising piano lessons.  I think it might be fate.
