Consent and Undertaking by Occupier form from my solicitor - London

I understand this form is standard for anyone over 17.
My partner needs to find independent legal advice. Do most solicitors provide this service and what is the average for this service? We live in London.

Not many provide it for some reason. Ive heard its high risk and low reward. They dont make enough money to cover the risk of being sued later I assume
Most people signing this form decide they dont need it anyway. Its quite easy to google the risks of signing the form, and to be honest there isnt much choice in the matter anyway if you want a mortgage.
If you do want to do it then look for ilaconnect on google. They do it over skype or zoom. Cost would be about £200 i think0 -
Try asking your solicitor for suggestions?

That's what I thought. My lender is HSBC but I'm not sure if they actually required independent legal advice.
I've been searching online and of course it'd be better for met to spare the £150-300 costs if possible.
If I decided not to take independent legal advice, I would still need to get a witness an individual of a profession (i.e. doctor, civil servant) though right?. Are there any implications with the mortgage going forward if I did not take out this advice?

Just that it's recommended, or that your partner must get it?And similarly, what you have been told about the witness? Normally it can be anyone.0
