Furlough pay and bank holidays

Hello everyone.
I have a couple of questions relating to Furlough. I work for a small company and have to double check everything as they make a lot of mistakes.
I was Furloughed from 6th April, getting 80%,. I worked 1st, 2nd and 3rd April as normal. I work a 40 hour Monday - Friday week. Previously I was on an annual income of 18,000 however as minimum wage went up in April this overtook my 18,000. Can anyone help me work out what my pay should be so I can check it.
Also with regards to the two bank holidays in April can anyone advise what happens here as they form part of my minimum holiday entitlement.
Many thanks.

They are no different to any other day. As you say they form part of your minimum entitlement. An employer can tell you when to take some or all of your holiday so, if your company is closed on bank holidays, then they have "told" you to take them as eight days our of your 28 day entitlement.Loopy73 said:

Bank holidays hold no special meaning. If you dont receive full pay for them, i'd assume they are not being used as part of your holiday allowance, if you do, they are.1

The NMW increase will not apply to you until you return to work. Your furlough pay is based on that payable on 28th February unless you receive non standard salary in which case it will be based on an average or the same pay from last February.
As for holiday, if you take holiday whilst on furlough (and a Bank Holiday is no different) then you must receive 100% salary for it (but the company can still claim the 80% furlough pay back).
I used to be known as ableandy but can't get into my old account anymore

Hello,
Thanks for your replies. So I got this email to explain how I will be paid:
The bank holidays will be paid in full. From April salary is in line with
the national minimum wage. The salary used for 80% claim is £1500.The
April claim of £1120 is based on 80% of £1500 and starts 3rd of April.
This claim includes 3rd of April and two bank holidays. But you will be
paid in full of these 3 days and also the first two days of April. These
days will be in line with the national minimum wage of 8.72 per hour,
which is £18137.60 pa.
I got paid today and have revived £1153.49 is anyone able to help me check this is correct, as my employer makes a lot of errors.
Thank you.0 -
Honestly it's impossible to say for sure.Loopy73 said:Hello,

7.5 hrs in a full working day? - so £196.20 for the 3 full days
80% of 1500 is 1200 - i'm not sure how they go to 1120?
80% as a full day rate is 52.32 now - so 156.96 deducted for 3 days (for the 3 full days)
leaves 1239.24 gross.

I did expect it to be a little more by my calculations. I work 8:30am-5pm, half an hour unpaid lunch, so 8 hours. Should have a full week pay (3 days I worked and 2 bank holidays), at the NMW. The rest should be 80% of previous wage, which was £18,000 a year / 1500 a month.Comms69 said:

I'd probably just ask them - as far as i'm aware furlough is still taxable income - so there'd still be deductions.Loopy73 said:
