I applied and got a confirmation of approval text for a 3-month payment holiday, as part of M&S response to help customers due to COVID-19.
Despite the approval, the monthly payment has been taken from my account today.

Has anybody else had the same problem?

Don't worry about whether others have had the same. It's not important.
How were you paying? And what was the timing of the agreement and subsequent payment?

One week from payment holiday agreement to dd being taken.Deleted_User said:Don't worry about whether others have had the same. It's not important.
How were you paying? And what was the timing of the agreement and subsequent payment?I just wanted to find out if this is something someone else had experience with this particular loan provider. I understand banks and finance providers are having to arrange measures and put them in place in a very short space of time, but it really seems odd to receive a confirmation before they can assure the payment holiday period has started.0 -
It'll be the timescale, as they would not have had time to change the amount of the DD and advise you accordingly. It should take affect from the next payment.
Anyone with a similar situation will have had the same experience. But as I say, that doesn't matter.
You could try calling them and see if they can manually amend it.1
