I am curious though as to your comment on it, I work in the charity sector and for example you can be as high as a trustee even if you have a spent terrorism charge without a waiver for example ( only know this as its something we have debated at work as it seems like it should exclude you ) and the same confidentiality rules apply so struggling to think of a role where a enhanced DBS check is not necessary - ie vulnerable adults/children - that it would apply to?

Schools, accountants, lawyers, doctors, that kind of thing. There are some things it would be illegal not to disclose. It's a requirement of the professional governing bodies. You were a little vague in "what happened" so it's hard to be specific. But you can't be a child abusing teacher or a patient abusing doctor. for example.2021 GC £1365.71/ £24000
