As events have unfolded a tightening of underwriting criteria is only to be expected. Personally I'd look at this from another viewpoint. Danske may have saved you from overpaying for the property. Even if a valuation was conducted now there's a high likelihood that it would now be valued below your offer. Difficult times lie ahead. The cost to the country of a virtual shut down shouldn't be underestimated.1

I agree with Thrug - properties are going to be worth less after all this. How much less is anyones guess but definitely less as the affect on the economy is yet to be seen1
