Barclays Mortgage Offer Closed

Hey Everyone!
Wondering if anyone can help, me and my girlfriend have had our mortgage offer accepted by Barclays. We exchanged contracts in Jan, just waiting to move into our new build.
We instructed our mortgage advisor to speak to Barclays about an extension, as our house move has been put back due to corona (and Scottish power, but that’s another story).
This Saturday we received a letter from Barclays saying our offer was now “closed”.
i am beyond confused and starting to panic, because we have our over £10k down on the deposit for the house.

Any advice or help would be much appreciated.

Speak to your mortgage advisor for an update.0

Already have, he is a waiting for more info and trying to find out what’s going on.I was just wondering if anyone else has had the same issue.0

Almost certainly, but it won't help at all with your particular circumstances.0

How long before the expiry of the mortgage offer did you start the process of extending it?0

In my experience - and take this with a tub of salt and speak to your adviser - when I applied for an extension the original offer was invalidated as the extension is, in effect, a new offer. I didnt receive a "closed" letter though.

On a newbuild extension, it's a "rekey" by Barclays. They have to re-input the data and transfer the documents from the old application to the new one. Being a broker it's a bit odd seeing case requirements appear then turn satisfied a few hours later.I am a mortgage broker. 6 Weeks. We started the process towards the end of march, with the expiry not until 22 April.
