Ratesetter

Options
Hi
I have a ratesetter loan spread over another 4 years of payments of £152 per month which last year I took out for my bf. All in my name and he was making the payments (stupid I know) we have now broken up and hes threatening to stop making the payments which obviously I cant afford myself. My question is I'm in Northern Ireland and it's a English company if my ex does stop the payments will they come after me in Northern Ireland? I'm worried. Thanks

Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom and so part of the same banking system.
I am sorry to say but this is your debt as its in your name. So yes you will be liable for it if he stops paying.
You could take him to court to try to recover the debt but you would need proof (text messages, any docs/agreement signed) that you took the loan for him and that he agreed to pay it back. Probably not so easy...
