Overpaying child support

My partner currently pays child support for his two children which is automatically deducted from his wage weekly. His ex partner currently has the child maintenance set to less than one day a week however he in fact has them for at least 3 nights a week sometimes 5 nights a week. She is refusing to report this change to child maintenance and they aren’t interested when he has called up to explain the change stating it must come from the receiving parent. We just wondering if there was a way that he would be able to claim back this overpayment at anytime or is it just a lost cause?

It’s a lost cause. I rang them to notify them of a similar change. But if she says no, then that’s it. They take her side. I was told only way to prove it was get an order off a court to say so.Absolutely abysmal the way they treat dads. I have complained to my MP. These clowns are above the law. So inept it’s actually comical.0

Thank you for your reply, so crazy looks like he’ll have to fork out court fees in order to change the maintenance. They definitely need to review the way they look at cases0
