We have three categories for our short story and drawing competition, and the winner of each category will receive a prize bundle PLUS be featured in a future print issue of Your Cat Magazine! We’ll also be showcasing entries on our blog during the entry period — so just by entering you may be featured on the Your Cat website.

What do I need to do?

Use your creative flair to write a fictional short story featuring a cat (or cats) as one of the central characters. It's as simple as that! For younger children, draw us your best picture of a cat — it could be your pet or a cat from your imagination! The categories are:

Over 13s and adults short story: word limit of 1,000 words.

Under 13s short story: word limit of 500 words.

Under 11s: Drawing competition. Draw a picture of a cat.

How do I enter?

Once you've completed your short story or drawing (you can take a picture of your drawing on your phone), please email them directly to catsocial@warnersgroup.co.uk — we will be adding our favourite short stories and drawings onto our blog, and sharing them across our social media and newsletters so people can enjoy them, and be inspired to write and draw their own.
