Hi everyone, hope you are all well.
Not the best time for asking, but does anyone have an idea what deposit would be required and what rates would be at this present time for a 2 year, discharged bankrupt? And if you could, what that would look like at 3 years discharged?
Thanks

Before corona virus at the 2 year point I’d say 75% LTV(ie 25% deposit) is probably about as much as you’d get at 3 years probably 85 to 90% tops. It’s worth bearing in mind that you would struggle to get the best rates, as not that many lenders are keen at that point
now I saw Nationwide the other week were saying 75% max and that’s for folk with no adverse history. I’d expect adverse mortgages are going to be thin on the ground leading to worse rates
it’d generally be at the 6 year point where things open up more, although each year improves your chances2 -
I spoke to London & Country a few weeks ago.
They advised they have three lenders on book who consider applications from applicants who have been discharged from BR two years, and eighteen lenders on book who consider applicants who have been discharged for three years.
