    HMRC seems still not to have updated the PAYE system to cope with untaxed interest properly. Taking it off the tax code of people expected to earn under the personal allowance is pointless, and just causes hassle and incorrect tax if they do end up earning more than the personal allowance. They've even put people on non cumultive codes as a result causing big overpayments of tax!
    Getting the PAYE system fixed would be far less costly than having to manually deal with all the problems caused by the incorrect way it works now.
