And a great way to turn what was probably already a non-essential trip into a completely useless one.  Way to go, "Rooster", or should we just call you "C*ck"?

    Hi All,
Today i went to my local Halfords (during the Covid - 19 crisis).

I left without buying the items.
Clearly not items which were 'essential' then.  So exactly why were you out?
  • What a colossal waste of time and effort just to prove a point.
I suppose it may have been a waste of time, but i was unaware of the rights to receiving a receipt.
I went elsewhere, got the items i required, got a paper receipt and it was 23% cheeper!
    Boom!
    Big waste of time....

I’d love to think that was a deliberate spelling error considering your name, but judging by the rest of your posts I’m guessing just a fluke...

If you have ever purchased an item from an Apple store, they always email receipts. Don't think they have any standard tills? I like it that way, instant receipt and always safe, easy to find and produce if needed to. Never had a with e-receipts and wish more would provide them.

I was always tought that you do not buy ANTHING WITHOUT A RECEIPT.
Nothing you buy has a receipt.  The receipt doesn't exist until the transaction has completed, therefore everything you have ever bought has been without a receipt, you simply expected one to be generated after the transaction to 'receipt' (i.e. evidence) that the transaction had taken place (past tense).

Also, receipts (plural) doesn't have an apostrophe, on paper or anywhere else.

Excellent, lots of potential contact with others (and another un-necessary trip) for absolutely no net gain, except the smugness which will be long gone once you leave the car park.

What do you think they're going to do with your email, enlist you into the Mafia?
Congrats on being part of the reason we'll all have to put up with this lockdown even longer.

Do you expect someone who can't follow 'stay indoors' to have a good grasp on other aspects of life? :)
