How much do people think the PS5 will retail for?

I'm going to get one when they come out as my PS4 is on its last legs. How much do people think it will cost?

    I'm guessing £500

While they will release a new PS5 game and still release a PS4 version, I will stick with the PS4.

I only moved to a PS4 when Arkham Knight (my second ever pre-order game) was only made for PS4 and not PS3.

Most likely be Black Friday 2022 for me (wonder if there will be a GTA 6)

Im going for around £500, it could be more.
The proce wil be what it is.
There wil be a GTA 6 but not heard when that will be though.
  • I think it will be around £600 but will wait to get a bundle because like every console give it a month and the price will be reduced

£500 ... but they'll put it just under so £495 or something like that.
I think the general rule is that they don't really make any money on the consoles, they make all their money on the games / peripherals, new controllers etc.

    £450 to £500
  • I read an article somewhere saying that there won't be much difference with the graphics for the next gen consoles.  I will try and find it to link.

That will certainly not be true. The Original PS4 has a 1.84 Teraflop GPU, the PS4 Pro has a 4.2 Teraflop GPU and the PS5 has a 10.28 Teraflop GPU. So a significant increase in power from the PS4 which means the difference between the current consoles struggling to output at a native 4K resolution at a playable framerate to now being able to do that with most games.
The new generation of consoles are equivalent in power to a decent gaming PC and there is a significant difference in graphics between a game console and PC.
Until the next generation of PC graphics cards are released later in the year these consoles are gonna give gaming PC's a run for their money.

I'm waiting for the PS5 in the hope that I will no longer have to chaise new processors, video cards, etc.
