Setting up a second PS4

I have a PS4 which my two kids play on. My eldest has now bought himself his own PS4 for his room and he is concerned about getting set up on this new one. He seems to think they'll be issues with using his existing account on his new PS4 as it's already set up on our family PS4. Is anyone able to give me some advice as to how to set this new PS4 up for him? Is it as straight forward as signing in to his PSN account?
