Can someone explain to me how to use these handsets, please? I tried to use one for the first time yesterday, but I could not work out how to get it to scan anything. I asked a member of staff for help, but she was as much use as a chocolate teapot. Or should I use the app? But I've heard that doesn't work properly if you have data reception issues.

To register you need to give the unit an 11 digit code, which is supposed to be your phone number however in reality it can be any number you remember that no-one else has used. When you go to the terminal (after registering on the system) you enter the number, it then illuminates one of the scanners which you take and use.
