Due to remortgage shortly.....HSBC or First Direct if I want to Consent to Let?

I am contemplating remortgaging at the end of the summer, I have 75% LTV and potentially want to fix for 5 years this time...
If I were to work away for a year or two (abroad etc) for a year or two in a say 18 months time....which lender would be the best to go with. Their rates are very similar.
5 Year Fix 1.54% 75% LTV £999
5 Year Fix 1.59% 75% LTV £490
I am sensing First Direct won't allow it, but from HSBC it seems normal/process available/actioned online.

First Direct is part of HSBC. Consent to let for genuine reasons i.e. temporary relocation is an option through any mortgage lender.0

It seems very strict with FD though from researching, wondered if anyone had any experience?0

When I had a FD mortgage it was actually an HSBC mortgage under a different brand. I don't think there is any difference unless things have changed since I had my mortgage..0

Thanks for that0
