Tesco removed items from online delivery.........

I added my cousons address to my list of addresses and was amazed that I was lucky enough to get her a slot. She's self isolating due to age and ill health, lives 80 miles away from me, the slot was a godsend. Anyway I put some items in the basket while on the phone to her, 25 items to be precise. I said to her not to worry about not remembering everything as we could amend the order the night before. Problem was I did amend the order but as I put a new item in the basket Tesco took one out, I still had 25 items in the basket. I would have understood if I'd already had 80 items in the basket but I only had 25. Tried to ring them up but the automated chat kept cutting me off. Anybody else had the same problem ?

It's possible that item is now unavailable which is why it was removed. That usually happens at checkout stage though not basket.
Or if there are multiple amounts of the 25 items you perhaps did exceed the cap of 80 items.
What was the item removed and added? Some product lines may be capped at 1 item only.
As it was one item and your cousin is getting a much needed delivery it maybe isn't that important in the scheme of things. Annoying yes, important no.
