The price of the Xbox One wireless game controller is a bit eye watering! Any recommendations on decent quality, solid alternatives?

While i wouldnt rule out someone suggesting a good unofficial controller i would suggest its unlikely. The official controllers do tend to be the best. I do sympathise though, they are a rip off.0

Things may have changed, but the joke was that you always gave your younger sibling the unoifficial controller because they wer so bad.
I would just recommend checking eBay for a used one (I got a cheap Switch Pro controller that way)0 -

Especially at CEX. They raised their genuine WiiU pro controllers from £20 to £25, then £35 after lockdown, but have not changed buying in prices throughout these rises. Japanese exporters are asking an eyewatering £640 on Ebay with Chinese ones, claiming to be in UK are selling ''genuine ones, which people say are copies, the photos being made of cut outs printed on a plain background.donnajunkie said:While i wouldnt rule out someone suggesting a good unofficial controller i would suggest its unlikely. Cex sell second hand dont they? I would only go for second hand if i Was really skint or couldnt get one anywhere else. All the mainstream retailers are still open online arent they.teddysmum said:

They do sell second hand but with a warranty and the only new items are third party new, very expensive exports from Japan or ; 'genuine' items which are very iffy when sellers claim to be in UK are registered in China and the photo is tampered with, but the controller I want is now obsolete.
I'm now waiting for the occasional genuine second hand item on Ebay ,as I'd rather risk a £25 one failing than paying CEX £35.
