 I won't clog this thread with more detail on IM - that was, if you go back and read, just one small comment to the OP in my efforts to give him some much wider pointers.
 It wasn't in any way intended to be an advert for IM or Vanguard (who I also mentioned!!) - there is clearly another forum more likely to help with detail on that, should anyone wish to consider joining "the cult" 
 If anyone is seriously interested, happy to share via messages 
 My viewpoint on long term investing is essentially that espoused by Lars Kroijer. OP, you might want to take a look at some of his videos, they make a lot of sense to me. Others will, of course, be free to disagree!
