What's it all about?

Handbag.com is offering a free salon haircut for every reader. As a cut and blow dry normally costs £30-40, this is a fab deal. The offer is run by a company called The Hair Group on behalf of Handbag (and other websites and magazines) who administer the offer and use local independent salons.

What do I need to do?

Go to handbag.com, fill in the coupon with your details and send to The hair Group/Handbag, Unit F Penfold Estate, Imperial Way, Watford, Herts WD24 4YY. You can find out if there is a salon near you by visting www.hairgroup.co.uk. Handbag won't tell you exactly which salon it is as it's top secret info, but you'll be told if there's one in your postcode.

Once the hairgroup have received your coupon it will forward this on to your nearest salon who will then contact you within 30 days to book and appointment for you.

Any snags?

The offer includes a free cut and blow dry, anything in addition will be charged at the salons normal rates.

No more than one Hair Group voucher can be used in any 12 month period.
Only those over 18 years old can use the voucher.

The salon has the right to choose the level of technician and the day of the week. Once allocated a salon, the voucher is valid for 3 months.

I could do with a new haricut, thanks - Do i just print the voucher out then?

Reason i asked was beause on the t&c it says no photcopies allowed so that made me wonder if the vouchers were obtainable anywhere else

No more than one Hair Group voucher per person can be redeemed in a 12-month period.

I think from what you are asking is can you try to use these vouchers more than once. I somehow doubt it as you need to enter your name and address.

seems like you print it off and sent it to them, it probably means you cant photocopy the print out

This site does not appear to allow you to fill in the coupon - It's a waste of time.

You're supposed to print it off, fill it in and send it to them through the post.

I had a phone call from them saying they had problems with the local hairdresseres honouring the deals and they offered me a free family photo session instead, said no thank you as needed a haircut not a photo, and this was 6 months after sending off from one of the last offers..

so dont hold your breath waiting for this one as its a bit hit and miss

This offer seems to come up regularly, but (as usual) there is only one salon in the whole county, nowhere near me etc etc etc.... would love to be able to try offers like this!

they are showing a saloon where i live and as there are only 2 hairdressers here it wouldn't be hard to find out which one it is. I'll give it a go and see. Could do with a haircut but just can't afford it at present.
