Sorry if I wasn't clear, we discussed it with them before going through the application and they said there shouldn't be any problem with them doing a desktop valuation. Now they say they are unable to do a desktop valuation and can't give any reason why. It's not like it's come back with too low a value - we could work with that and put more deposit in. Just that they can't now do a desktop valuation at all - on a 60% remortgage of an normal, inexpensive house.csgohan4 said:Valuations have been on hold for sometime and there is a large backlog, mortgage offers are always pending valuation. 1 week is unrealistic for any lender unless doing desktop valuations, even then it will take time due to the current crisis
