Terms & conditions

1. This Promotion is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 or over, excluding employees of the Promoter and anyone professionally associated with this Promotion.
2. Purchase is necessary. Internet access and a valid email address are required. Please keep the packaging with the unique codes as this may be required for validation and to claim the Prize.
3. Purchase Period: Purchase a promotional product (see clause 6 for a list of promotional packs) before midday on the 13th August 2020.
4. Entry Period: Enter before midday on the 13th August 2020.
5. To Enter: Purchase a promotional Yeo Valley product [see clause 6 for a list of promotional packs], visit yeovalley.co.uk/octopusenergy in order to complete the online form providing your details (name, email address and postcode) and enter the unique code found on the products’ packaging to find out instantly if you have won a prize.
6. Promotional packs:
   1. 1kg Yeo Valley Natural Yogurt
   2. 450g/500g Yeo Valley Natural Yogurt
   3. 150g Yeo Valley Natural Yogurt
   4. Yeo Valley Crème Fraiche

7. One entry per purchase, with a new purchase required for each entry. Pack codes are case-sensitive and must be entered exactly as shown.
8. Winner Selection:
   1. Instant Win: During the Entry Period, up to 10,001 winners will be randomly selected from all valid entries via an independently verified algorithm process which will award a prize immediately if a winner is selected.
   2. Wrap-up Draw: Following the end of the Entry Period, in the event the Main Prize has been unclaimed or not been won, the Promoter reserves the right to request that an independent party conducts a random draw for all non-winning entrants. This will be conducted solely to award the Main Prize within ten days of the close of the Entry Period.
9. Instant Win Prizes: During the Entry Period, there are a total of up to 10,001 prizes to be won.
   1. Main Prize: 1 x blue Tesla Model 3 standard range plus worth up to £40,490 (see clause 11 for additional conditions). No cash alternative will be offered.
   2. Runner-up Prizes: Up to 10,000 x young fruit trees (see clause 12 for additional conditions). No cash alternative will be offered. Full details of the tree can be found at yourbabytree.com/product-categorie/fruittrees-and-bushes/
10. Wrap-up Prize: If the main prize is unclaimed or not won during the Promotion Period, one winner will win a blue Tesla Model 3 standard range plus (no cash alternative) worth up to £40,490 to be won from all entries received during the promotional period. The winner will be selected at random by PromoVeritas, the independent promotional verification service, within ten working days of the closing date and will be notified via email within 14 days of the draw. The winner will have 14 days to respond to notification to accept the prize. Failure to respond may result in the prize being forfeited. Each entry submitted during the main promotion will equate to one entry into the Wrap-up Draw.
11. Main Prize Further Details and Conditions:
    1. The winner will be asked to prove they are a resident of the UK;
    2. The winner must have and must show a valid driving license prior to collecting the Prize.
    3. Insurance is not included. If the prize is to be driven on a public highway, insurance cover must be obtained by the winner prior to collection of the Prize. The Promoter will need to see evidence of insurance on collection of the Prize.
    4. Maintenance, warranties and running costs of the vehicle are the responsibility of the winner from the date of ownership.
    5. Taxing the vehicle will be the responsibility of the prize winner.
    6. If the winner is from Northern Ireland, the Prize can be driven with UK number plates legally. If the winner chooses to change to local number plates, this will be at their expense;
    7. If the winner is from the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man, the promoter will pay for the relevant import duties.
    8. An MOT will not be required until after a period of three years from the date that the vehicle is registered, which will be advised at the point of collection of the Prize.
    9. An adaptor for a 110 volt outlet (NEMA 5-15) is included as standard equipment with all new Tesla vehicles. This provides approximately two to four miles of range per hour of charge depending on the vehicle.
    10. The vehicle will be delivered within six months of the close of the Entry Period or Wrap-up Draw, subject to the winner accepting the prize within 14 days. Octopus will contact the customer to arrange delivery, and the car will be delivered on a date agreed with the winner. Octopus cannot be held responsible for late delivery.
12. Runner-up Prize Further Details and Conditions:
    1. Maximum one young tree per household.
    2. No cash alternative will be offered.
    3. Trees will be delivered within 28 days to the name and address provided by winners during the Winner Notification process.
    4. During the Winner Notification process, winners will also be able to select the option to forfeit receiving the prize and have the young tree planted on their behalf by the Promoter.
13. Winner Notification:
    1. Instant Win: The winning entrants will be instantly notified on screen and will be asked to follow the instructions to claim their prize. The winner of the Tesla Model 3 will be required to confirm acceptance of their Prize and eligibility plus send proof of purchase (winning packaging with the unique code) to: JS10220 Yeo Valley Tesla, PO Box 704, Pinner, HA5 9PF within 14 days of initial contact. In the event that a winner does not provide the required details within 14 days, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify that winner and return the Prize to the Promotion Prize pool which may be won by another entrant during the Entry Period. The Tesla Model 3 winner should ensure that the packaging is sent by a secure method of delivery and that they make a copy, as the Promoter is not responsible for items not received or lost in transit.
    2. Wrap-up Draw: If a winner is selected via this route, they will be notified via email within 14 working days from the end of the Entry Period and will be required to follow the instructions provided during Winner Notification and claim their prize within 14 days. Failure to respond in this manner may result in the winner being disqualified. In the event that a winner is disqualified, the Promoter reserves the right to award the Prize to a reserve winner selected in the same manner.
14. Subject to the consent of the Main Prize winner, the surname and county of the winner will be available at www.yeovalley.co.uk/our-winners for eight weeks following the close of the Promotion. Without prejudice, the Promoter will provide this information to the Advertising Standards Authority on reasonable request.
15. The Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for monetary value or for any other form of compensation. If for any reason any element of a Prize is not available, the Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion to substitute another prize for it, of equal or greater value.
16. An entry must be made directly by the individual entering the Promotion. Incomplete or illegible claims together with claims which do not satisfy the requirements of these Terms & Conditions in full will be disqualified and will be not be considered.
17. In the event that the Promotion is not capable of running as planned for reasons including but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, dishonesty, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process or does not comply with these Terms & Conditions and to cancel, modify or suspend the Promotion or invalidate any affected entries.
18. No responsibility can be taken for entries or winning claims that are lost, delayed, corrupted, damaged, misdirected or incomplete or which cannot be delivered for any technical, delivery or other reason. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt. The Promoter does not guarantee continuous or secure access to the web page.
19. The Promoter, together with any associated agencies and companies, will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this Promotion or accepting or using a Prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. Nothing will exclude the Promoter’s liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.
20. Should an act, omission, event or circumstance occur which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these Terms & Conditions, the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligations.
21. The Promoter may refuse to award a Prize in the event of any entrant’s fraud, dishonesty, breach or non-entitlement under these Terms & Conditions or seek recovery of its value if the Prize has been awarded.
22. Any and all personal data supplied for the running of this Promotion will be used solely for the purpose of this Promotion by the Promoter and/or by any agent appointed by it to assist with running the Promotion on behalf of the Promoter and will not be disclosed to a third party for any other purpose unless your positive consent has been obtained. 25. In the event of a discrepancy between these Terms & Conditions and the details in any promotional material, the details in the Terms & Conditions will prevail.

Where do I find out how to enter?

You can find everything you need on our promotional packs in-store and online at www.yeovalley.co.uk/octopusenergy.

Where do I find my code?

Your unique 14-character code is on the underside of the lids of our promotional yogurt and crème fraîche pots (150g, 200g, 450g, 500g and 1kg), on the inside of the sleeve of our promotional yogurt 4-packs, behind the label of the promotional 1L and 2L milk bottles and underneath the fold of the promotional 250g butter block.

Your unique code should be 14 alpha characters in length and begin with the letter ‘P’. The codes are case sensitive, so be careful when typing them in, and remember to include any spaces.

If your code doesn’t start with a ‘P’, it isn’t from a promotional pack and so can’t be used in this promotion. But don’t worry – you can still bank other codes as part of our Yeokens scheme as normal here: www.yeovalley.co.uk/yeokens.

My code doesn’t seem to work.

Please check to see that you are typing all 14 characters and each one is correct. If the code you are entering is incorrect, you will see a message saying that the code is invalid.

If your code has already been used, you’ll see a message that says so. It could be that the page didn’t load correctly the first time you submitted your entry. Not to worry – whether or not you’re a winner, we’ll send you an email to let you know if you’ve won or not.

I can’t read the code.

As the code is made up of small dots, we find that if you hold it slightly away from you, the code stands out more clearly.

Why do you need my details?

We want to make it easy for you to enter, so we ask for as little information as possible – just details so that we can contact you if you’re the lucky winner of the Tesla Model 3 first prize. If you do happen to win a runner-up prize instantly and would like to plant the tree yourself, you’ll just need to fill out a short form with your name and address so we can arrange delivery of your prize.

Rest assured, we’ll never send you anything or share your details without your permission.

Why do I have to send in my pack to claim the main prize?

This is quite normal for this type of offer. We want our promotion to be fair for everyone. To enter, you need to buy one of the promotional packs, so we ask winners to post in their pack to prevent any false claims.

What are Yeokens?

Yeokens are an online currency you can collect by buying things made by us here at Yeo Valley. Just look out for our packs with the special Yeokens rosette on them.

Can I still bank the code from my promotional pack with my Yeokens account?

If you enter your code on the promotional site first, we’ll automatically bank the Yeokens in your account (using the email address you provide). Please remember to use the email address linked with your Yeokens account when entering the promotion!

If you bank the code from your promotional pack to your Yeokens account first, you’ll need to go to the promotional website at www.yeovalley.co.uk/octopusenergy to enter the promotion separately. You can only bank the Yeokens once, so you won’t get any more Yeokens when you enter the promotion if you’ve already banked them.

What if I don’t have a Yeokens account?

If you don’t have a Yeokens account, we’ll still bank the Yeokens from your promotional pack under the email address you provide – so if in future you’d like to set up a Yeokens account, you’ll have your Yeokens ready and waiting!

Why is there no phone number I can call for help?
