Tesco vulnerability people

Options
Hello Martin Lewis I phoned up Tesco this morning to enquire what they are doing about deliverys for people like myself in the shielding program by the government. I explained I've no family or friends to do my shopping near by. I explained I'm in I the government programme for getting basics each week but does not included lamb beef chicken etc. They directed me to the government website after I told them this. Why is tesco sainsbury's and morrisons and waitrose not giving us slots to do my shopping. Its good of the government food parcels but I need meat and chicken soon . What's the answer do you think?

a lot of butchers are now delivering, have you tried a local facebook group? Mine has lots of local butchers, bakers and green grocers that are offering deliveries.

I'd second sarah1972's suggestion of looking to see if local butchers are delivering. You can find local COVID-19 support groups via this website https://covidmutualaid.org/ and also check your local council website for details of any community hubs.
My local facebook group has lists of loads of local butchers, greengrocers, bakers and wholesalers who are delivering, and it will also let you ask for help.
