Banks’ mortgage deals

Options
Just wondered how often banks revise their rates for their mortgage deals? Does it happen with set regularity, e.g. every month? Does it happen on a specific day of each month? Or is it more ad hoc than that?
Thanks!

Ad-hoc i.e.overnight.  Running multi billion mortgage books is actually very complex. Not simply a question of borrowing at x% and lending at Y%. Rates will be authorised at board level under the guidance of the risk management team.
  • Usually we get 24-48 hours notice of rate changes but they can happen at any time through the week/month/year
