Hi,
Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but ill give it a go all the same.
Ive had a letter from Telogram Ltd to my flat that i bought about a year ago. It is addressed to someone ive never heard of, and i bought that flat from an old lady who had lived here for at least 15 years, quite likely a lot longer. Theyve enclosed another address from nearby, claiming they are trying to locate this person on behalf of Natwest, and ask to be contacted regarding this.
Having googled them, they seem rather shady. am i better off ringing them and letting them know to my knowledge noone of that name has ever lived there, or ignore it? im wary of ringing and getting peppered for questions about me when i have nothing to do with this.
Cheers

Put the letter back in the envelope, sellotape it up, write "Return to Sender: Address Unknown" on the front then put it in a post box.0

Completely agree. Well said that man / woman / thingy.
You're quite right that they may ask questions of you. There are some organisations that may even try to pass the debt as being yours as you live at that address. Send it back and wash your hands thoroughly. It's not your problem!!After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
Dad Gift 6k ¦ Savings & Inv Tst: £2,500

Total Owed: £2,270 (+6k) 11/08/20110
