To be honest I'm quite impressed here so I thought I would share the tale.
I cancelled my BT broadband back in June with a GREAT DEAL of trouble and then last month received a red letter for £17odd made up from a small charge, £4.50 charge for a paper bill (!!!!!!) and £7 late fee charge (!!!!!! !!!!!! !!!!!!)!!
I refuse to contact the imbeciles by phone and my last recorded delivery letter went unanswered so I emailed them. I received ANOTHER reminder in the interim so sent another email to which there response was *this is for your charges, pay it*
I emailed back and 2 weeks down the line whilst still waiting for a reply I gets a letter from the *pre courts division*. I have to admit this wound be up a bit, its in bold red and just made me think how many people would shirt themselves at such a letter!!
However, after calling and explaining the situation to the woman they have offered to dispute the *debt* on my account once I email/write to them with the background.
I know that DCA are usually a bunch of ****** but I thought on this occasion they deserved a well done

Well done Mrs T! Once it's all sorted, make sure they haven't registered a late payment/default with the credit reference agency, and if they have, *politely* ask them to kindly remove it before you shove it firmly up their backsides.
