Epson xp-7100 compatible ink cartridges - resetter?

Hi Guys
I've bought compatible ink cartridges from stinkyink for the epson xp-7100 printer but they are not being recognised by the printer. I took the chip off the original cartridge and replaced the one on the compatible one with it. Now the cartridge is being recognised but its still seen as empty.
Next step is somehow to get the printer to think that cartridge is full as it is. I am trying to find a ink cartridge resetter but having no luck finding one for this model. Apparently the generic ones only work with basic/old printers.
Has someone successfully used compatible cartridges instead of Epson 33xl or epson orange claria ink cartridges or found a way for epson xp-7100 to side-step the reading chip part? I have followed various different advices from the net but all of them are for older printers and not working - struggling to find one for the epson xp range of printers. Any help would be much appreciated.
Kind regards

Have you asked stinkyink? They guarantee their compatibles, so may well have an answer (unless, of course, you've recently downloaded an 'update' for your printer, which could have scuppered things).0
