Do try Lidl, I always buy by frozen fruit form there, very good prices, I also noticed Iceland prices were very good ( cant comment on quality as never bought )

Do you live in an area covered by an Aldi? Im pretty certain they do home delivery

The other suggestion I have is to look at your local community pages on facebook. I know today for example that a company who produces Gluten free products over here in NI showed on my news feed for home delivery

You could also reconsider your list of essential items. Stuffing and gravy probably aren't.
I wouldn't go shopping just for those items; if my post implied I would, I apologise.    They are items without which our weekly cooked dinner is not as nice.   I cited the gravy and stuffing are examples of gluten free items that have disappeared of the shelves as a result of stockpiling by people who, I'm guessing, don't actually need them.   If they did, there would generally be loads more shelf space for them, and not just a little space at the end of the Free From aisle as in our local Tesco and Sainsbury's.

But having said that, what would you consider to be essential? Baked Beans?  Tinned soup? Bread and water?  Everybody has different tastes/requirements and I wasn't aware there was yet a set of rules as to what we should or should not buy.  For example, I struggle to see why anybody would be buying alcohol at this time, or any time for that matter, but they clearly are as evidenced by the empty shelves.  However, if that is what they want, then who I am I to tell them what is essential or not?
Well tinned soup and bread arent essential to someone who doesnt eat Gluten.

People do seem to panic when they think of Gluten free but you can eat loads of things.
Noone needs bread, pasta, gravy granules, sauces, tinned soups etc.

You have all vegetables, fruits, meats, cheeses, herbs, eggs etc and can make a whole host of delicious, much healthier soups, stews and meals.
Experiment with different flours to make pancakes and flatbreads. Be inventive with lunches instead of reaching for the bread.

Much healthier lifestyle without all that man made processed carp.

  • Hi. I too am Gluten Intolerant and am classed as vulnerable. I am struggling to get essential food supplies. Have you tried the Dove Farms website. Really useful GF Food box on offer delivered to the door with lots of GF products designed to last a week. They only allow one order a week and ask that only those who are genuinely Gluten intolerant order. I have found this a life line
