Credit report

Options
We have moved Down Under but would like to get our credit report from Experian and/or anyone else. We tried to download but they want a UK address and telephone number which we clearly don't have.

Is there any other way we can get the report?

Thanks.

I'm not sure of the answer rkh, but they are quite helpful if you give them a ring (I think the phone numbers are on their websites). They should be able to advise you if there is any way round it.

What is the address you banks will have - have you updated this?

I believe Experian have a help number you can call. Try phoning them and see if they can get you on the system. Hmm - closed now though, possibly email them?

    Thanks George and Snaggles.

It is impossible to ring the 0800 numbers from here but I have emailed them.

Our bank addresses are still the old UK address as we are having all our mail redirected. This is because we have been here for only 6 months and hubby is talking of going back. If things don't work out for us here by the end of May 2008 (that is how long we are committed to rent this property we are in), we will be coming back. OH has been paying an agreed amount to his creditors as he was unemployed for a while in UK before we came out but we want to make sure that our credit rating is good enough to get us a place to rent if we come back. But we are paying all the creditors and haven't defaulted on any.

I've had a quick look on saynoto0870.com (you can search for alternatives to 0800 numbers on there as well), and the geographical number for them is 0115 935 6700. I've just rung it to check it for you and it's the right number.

Thanks Snaggles. I will call them tonight - we are 11 hours ahead of the UK. I will report back once I have spoken to them.
