Coronavirus - the implications of deferring mortgage repayments

Does anyone know if there are future implications of deferring mortgage repayments for 3 months? I'm aware that mortgage lenders are being sympathetic in allowing people to defer for 3 months, however, I'm concerned that this will affect the ability to switch to a new deal/fixed mortgage rate product at the end of existing rate deals? I've been (reliably) informed that NatWest are the only lender so far to have confirmed that this won't be affected. Any ideas?

The granting of a payment holiday isn't going to impact your ability to switch to a new product with your lender when the existing one ends.1

Have you had confirmation of this? As far as I'm aware, NatWest only have confirmed that this is the case.Thrugelmir said:The granting of a payment holiday isn't going to impact your ability to switch to a new product with your lender when the existing one ends.
