Natwest Frauid team block my Morrisons order
Options
I am new to Morrisons online shopping but was lucky enough to have a grocery delivery slot booked both for myself and mum (she's 92).
Slot was for tomorrow evening.
Morrisons must have just done the picking and tried to process payment and at 12:30am in the morning Natwest block the payment because it's triggered their fraud alert. I have replied back to the text message from Natwest saying this is a genuine transaction but Morrisons have now cancelled my order.
Just a warning to others. if you are new to online shopping maybe ring your bank first to warn them

Someone else has had exactly the same problem with an RBS card (think Natwest belongs to the same banking group as RBS?). Sadly, it doesn't seem to have been resolved:0

Sounds horrible...
Do Morrisons sell top up gift card & could use it to pay for online shopping?
That is the only way I could think of to avoid these bank fraud detection check.0 -

I suspect buying or topping up gift cards for the first time might be even more of a potential fraud flagging incident that just buying groceries....

I'm a long time Asda on-line shopping customer and also have a Gift card that I've already used in store - with a good balance - yet when I went to use it to pay, they still ask for a back up bank card, in case the order exceeds the card balance (even though they already present you with both numbers and can easily see that the card will cover it). This then became a big stumbling block for checking out the order, as that aspect of the procedure was obviously overloaded. So a gift card, may not even help in the OP's predicament - it didn't help mine.0

I contacted Natwest to pre-advice them that I would be making new payments to Asda, Tesco and Morrisons and they would try to ensure these would pass any automatic filters but they could not guarantee it.
So far so good, but yes, the article in the Daily Mail mirros my own experience exactly! No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT31
