growing Tomato's
for the last couple of years I have grown my own toms, this year I would like to grow something different to the usual red ones.
I have seen stripped and black ones, but due to the current situations going out to by plants is not important so any suggestions of somewhere online I can get them from? plants ideally but will give seeds ago.

Bit late for seeds now, but you should be able to get plants from the usual suspects - Thompson & Morgan, Suttons etc.
Are you growing outdoors or in a greenhouse? Make sure the varieties you choose are right for you.
If you have a greenhouse, try Tutti Fruttie from Suttons - I grew them last year, and they were lovely. I've ordered some more for this year - so far mail order seems to be ok, so fingers crossed....0 -
Still time for seeds, the plants will catch up with the longer daysBeware though, a lot of the newer ones are tastier on the eye than the palate but it is subjective of courseEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens1

I have just grown them on my patio but looking at getting a small tomato greenhouse.

I've just sown my seeds yesterday. There's still time.Real Seeds, or plants of distinction, Nickys Nursery. unfortunately, the site I got mine from is shut at the moment [https://www.plant-world-seeds.com/ in case it opens again]. If you PM me your address, I can post some French Black seeds [ medium sized purply black tomato with a greenish inside, really sweet and tasty ] on my daily excercise routine.....:)Black tomatoes were developed for a short hot summer, so don't need a longer summer to perform. I was still eating mine in January this year [ left to ripen slowly in the lean to] but I admit, they were not as nice as fresh from the vine ....I love black tomatoes and have grown a lot of varieties, my all time favourites for taste and no splitting are Brads Black Heart, French Black and French Trifele. The first one is a large oxheart tomato, the second as above and the third is a pear shaped tomato the size of a duck egg or bigger.I don't like Black Cherry because they have a tendency to split, so I'm trying chocolate cherry this year.
