HSBC have advised that if I take a payment holiday on my loan then this will show as non-payment on my credit report, which I obviously don't want to happen.  Has anyone else experienced this with HSBC or other lenders?

HSBC seem to be one of the more tardy ones out there with no flexibility in their systems or the will to change them. If that's what they told you, that is what will likely happen and that's not a great route to take.

The majority of the lenders seem to be offering payment holidays without reporting them as missed payments to the bureau. In either case, I'd really request that they put it in writing, if even in an email, in case that's not how it works out down the line.

Thanks, I'll speak to them again.
Hopefully they will fall in line with the other banks in the no too distant future!
