I didn't realise last week that I bought 2nd pre packed Pasta/Tomato+Basil Suace in a tub dated 24th March use by.
Today I have finished 1st of 2 24th March tubs -delicious.
Though use by date is today -is it safe to eat unopened refrigerated tub over next frew days.
I have finished tubs before maybe not as saucy after an extra day or two, though never had any health probs.

Today is 23rd March.  I'd eat something marked as eat by 24 March by Thursday but it is your decision.

Silly me, honestly panicked when I only 'checked' top of both tubs whilst opening Fridge!
Thanks, very much appreciated, Pasta next two possibly three days.
Wish smaller tubs were stocked, far too much one person

SHould be ok but you can put it in the freezer and take it out when you need it.

  • If you cook it and put it in the fridge cooked in a sealed container it will keep for a few days and can be re-heated in the microwave with a sauce on top very easily.

  • Yes, but if you cook it according to the instructions on the pack it will keep for longer than the use by date in the fridge (only by a couple of days though) the easiest way is to freeze it where it will stay good for as long as it's in there.

Thanks I enjoy eating cold, though very kind suggestion.
