WHAT CAN I DO, TO CLEAR THIS UP?

Options
Hello everyone,

So, I have clean good credit and a full time permanent job, however I was very surprisingly declined for a mortgage due to a “risk appetite”. I was & am confused as exactly what that means (you are welcome to see my previous threads) although I have gained a slight rough idea.

However thanks to a few helpful people on this forum I was advised to request my full report from various fraud prevention agencies such as CIFAS, SARS and National Hunter.

So have now received my SARS report along with National Hunters report and am still slightly confused about some information it holds.

Just over a year ago, I was intending on purchasing a property. At the time I had a  number of property options that I was interested in purchasing. I had a couple of people helping me and they made several applications amongst themselves in a short time period without me realising that they had actually put through full applications.

Due to personal family issues ,I ended up pulling out of purchasing anything at that time as I needed to leave the country for a little while for a few months.

Now there are 3 applications with inconsistencies on them and I have no idea why🤷‍♂️

On the reports that came back these relate to

-“Main applicant”

-“Main applicant bank account”

-“Main applicant address”

I have no idea why any inconsistencies have arisen and why specifically why they would have arisen relating to the above?

I have attempted contacting one of the lenders showing a marker of an inconstancy and after spending over an hour and a half on the phone with them along with speaking with a manager, they were very unhelpful in terms of resolving this and just asked me to file a complaint didn’t even seem to have an understanding of what I was trying to address.

Would anyone know the right way to address this? Who should I aim to speak to in the lending company?

Do you know how I can get these inconsistencies addressed and rectified/removed?

I honestly do not think I’ve done anything wrong but feel like I am being penalised for a possible mistake in information given on previous applications.

I really need to fix this ASAP any help advice would be greatly appreciated.

Risk appetite is nothing personal. Be a commercial decision by the lender not to underwrite business at this point of time for a particular reason. For commercial reasons this won't be disclosed.

Either get a good broker to help you and don't get someone who is not trained to do applications for you

maybe you have a CIFAS marker, but do you see anything on your report.

You can't force a lender to lend to you, you can go elsewhere but you need professional help, stamping your feet around will not help, you might a token gesture, but won't solve you getting a mortgage with that lender

If a CIFAS has been put on due to the actions of OP, and / or someone they instructed, it won't show on the CRA reports, only the 'victim of' ones do.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

Interesting, that is probably true, I had Cifas for a few years as someone applied for a credit card in my name fraudulently.
