Remortgage or put on hold?

Hi All, this is my first time on here so I am sorry if this has already been answered. I am currently in the process or mortgaging to borrow extra for home improvements. Is this a good time to do this or should I stick with my current mortgage and wait a few months to see what happens with the economy? Thankfully myself and my partner are in relatively secure jobs (for now!) The rate we have been offered on our remortgage  is 1.69%. Just wondering what other people would do?

Thank you.

Only you know secure your jobs really are. Are the home improvements necessary? If not stay as you are and overpay the mortgage. There's no need to rush into decisions. As this current crisis is unlikely to blow over in a short time. Think long term.
