Had plans drawn up for extensions the house looking at borrowing more on the mortgage but should we wait with all the unrest within the world with this COVID-19?

That's a personal decision for you to make based on your own circumstances. The world isn't going to come to a complete stop. Do you have a builder lined up?1

Yes builder all sorted its just such an uncertain time at the moment.0

The more that people carry on as normal the better. With the obvious health precautions to minimise spread.1

We are in the same position and I have no idea what to do ! I’m worried that if we don’t borrow now it may be difficult in the future but equally I don’t want add more pressure if our jobs are affected ! Part of me thinks we should just be grateful for what we have and put our plans on hold but then I feel dreadful for our builder as all this affects their business !0

Anybody could be impacted by the disease. There's no certainty that the build would run smoothly at the current time. If people fail to observe the most basic of requests then enforced lock down will be here shortly anyway. Stopping the virus and saving lives is the priority.0
