Remortgage Asisstance

Good Morning,
In light of the economic situation in the UK and of course globally, is it the right time to remortgage?
Are banks and mortgage lenders increasing their criteria to lend? In other words, is it more difficult to be accepted for a mortgage at the moment?
Thank you.

One would imagine that underwriting criteria will be tightened in light of recent events. Likewise the propensity to lend. Though the market may well contract on it's own accord.1
