Did not find my subject which I need help,I took my dad 5 years ago too make his will be went in a taxi too a Nottingham solicitor near Nottingham castle we went in a taxi I pushed him in wheel chair he took my dad in room he made hill will,I wait outside,I then pushed him too nearest corner then got taxi back now here’s my issue,we have searched house for will as my dad died January just gone,we cannot find it anywhere’,we paid a company £100 too search wills on line,iv rang several solicters in area nothing,found cannot ,we have no name or number solicters,we did not find anything,paid a company £100 too search all solicters they come back blank,if I can find the solicters how would they explain this,what would I be able too do?

With something so important you should have at least noted the name, address and telephone number of the solicitor! Did your father get a letter from the solicitor, or an email? Perhaps you should be looking for the letter or email first.Anyway, there are several ways of storing a will:You might want to check with the probate service to see if the solicitor registered it there.

I’m going too look around there tomorrow,there is so many solicters in the area,I just can’t understand why it was not picked up on will search,I had both search registerf plus other 1 extra £40 in case not Registetd by solicters,someone told me they can be lazy on register0

Unlikely that the will was drafted and signed on the spot. Was it finalised?0

Maybe ask citizens advice bureau to assist? They give advice for free.0

Had the same problem when my father died. Never found a will. Rules of intestate apply.0
