Divorce remortgage

Morning all.
My mortgage offer is awaiting decree absolute and court consent order before being able to complete (paying off the ex).
I got a 5 year fix in Dec at 1.59% if I recall correctly. It is likely to be mid April before the consent order gets sealed.
Should I be looking to see if there is a better deal out there? Or would the mortgage company take a dim view to this and secondly if I turn down the mortgage offer for another deal will it affect my credit rating at this stage?
Also I am refinancing/paying old mortgage and having extra for home improvements all the figures for which have moved can I ask the mortgage company to recalculate and redistribute the figures so I get as much funds out towards the new roof (just one of the jobs on the list).
many thanks
